Having a verified PayPal account means that you have provided PayPal additional information to prove your identify. This gives potential customers more confidence in your legitimacy, and qualifies you to be covered under PayPal's Seller Protection. Verifying your account also removes account limits and enables you to transfer money between your PayPal account and your other linked bank accounts.

1- Log into PayPal and go to the "Overview" page of your account.
2- Click on the link under your name labeled "Get Verified."
3- Choose the method you wish to use to verify your account. PayPal currently offers two options:

Link an account at another bank to your PayPal account.
Provide a valid credit card in your name.

4- Enter the required banking or credit information and then click "Continue."
5- Verify that you have entered all information correctly and then click the "Confirm" button.
6- Submit the form after the final verification page loads, then check your email for additional information from PayPal.
7- Monitor your bank or credit account that you are using for the verification process.

If you are linking another bank account for verification, PayPal will make two small deposits into that account.

Two small charges will be placed on your credit card if that is your chosen verification method.

8- Log into your PayPal account to report the deposits or charges after they appear on your statement.

9- Go the "Get Verified" link again and enter the deposits that were made into your account.

10- Receive a confirmation phone call from PayPal and answer a couple of quick questions.

11- Alternately, enter the charges on your credit card at the website along with the codes printed next to them on your statement.

12- PayPal will credit your account back for the charges made.

13- Your account is automatically verified after entering credit card charges, there is no need for phone confirmation with this method.
